New Music – this week with Cornelia Jakobs, Måneskin, Rosa Linn and WRS

Another week comes to an end and that means it’s New Music Friday! So it’s time to share the best new releases from the Eurovision world. Over the following pages is everything you need to know for your weekend playlists!

Cornelia Jakobs – ‘Rise’

First up on New Music Friday is Sweden’s Eurovision 2022 representative, Cornelia Jakobs. This week she intends to ‘Rise’ to the top of the Swedish charts once more, with her follow up to, ‘Hold Me Closer’. After sharing the song in concerts recently, now Cornelia wants us all to embrace the guitar-laden anthem that has a positive message about seeing the light at the end of a personally dark tunnel. Once again Cornelia has teamed up with her Eurovision dream team, Isa Molin and David Zandén on the new single.

Måneskin – ‘THE LONELIEST’

Far from lonely, the ever popular Italian Eurovision winners Måneskin are back with their fourth single since victory in 2021. Already the group have teased the release at events in Camden and today they share the music video for ‘THE LONELIEST’. The new single is a classic emo throw-back with the styling of the video complementing the tone of the dramatic break-up anthem.

Rosa Linn, Alfa – ‘SNAP’ (Italian)

Over the past few months Armenia’s Eurovision 2022 sensation, Rosa Linn has snapped all over the global charts to become the 4th most streamed Eurovision entry of all time… so far! To celebrate the global success of ‘SNAP’ and as a nod to where it all began in Turin, Rosa has released an Italian version with Alfa. After a few messages on social media, the two met in Armenia to record this new version together, which showcases Rosa’s flair for new languages.

wrs – ‘Me Flipa’

After shaking his hips to Romania’s first qualification since 2017, already wrs has been back in the studio and releasing new music. Recently he gave us the fun duet with Eurovision colleague Andromache, ‘if you were alone‘. Now wrs drops the new single, ‘Me Flipa’. The heavy Latin rhythm pays tribute to wrs’ love of Barcelona and his endless party over the Summer touring and chasing the sun.
