TVR, the Romanian national broadcaster, has launched Selecţia Naţională 2023, the Romanian selection for Eurovision 2023.
Selecţia Naţională will be used once again to select the Romanian entry for Eurovision. The submission window for entries will be open between November 14 until December 11. All submissions must be sent to eurovision.romania@tvr.ro. Between December 14 and 16, a jury of no more than seven members will evaluate the submissions and pick 12 for the live final. The finalists will be announced by December 17 at the latest.
The live final of Selecţia Naţională will take place on February 11. A combination of online voting and public voting will decide the Romanian entry for Liverpool. Selecţia Naţională has been used to select all Romanian entries to Eurovision except in 2021.
WRS represented Romania with “Llámame” finishing in 18th place with a total of 65 points, he received 10 points from the televote in Moldova and Spain. Romania qualified for the Grand Final for the first time since the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.
