A press conference has been held in Astana to reveal details of Kazakhstan’s participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
It has been revealed that the Kazakh entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be ready by the end of this month. David Charlin who was selected to represent Kazakhstan in Yerevan has been working to prepare for the contest and will soon record his song for the contest this December. David told the assembled press in Astana that:
I will try to justify all the hopes placed on me. I will try my best not to disappoint everyone who believed in me and considered me worthy to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Many thanks to Khabar Agency for their support and assistance in preparing for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Regarding the song that David Charlin will perform at Junior Eurovision, it has been announced that two composers are writing the song. One of the composers is Khamit Shangaliyev who wrote the Kazakh Junior Eurovision entries in 2019 and 2020.
Kazakhstan is aiming to take victory in the contest for the first time. As in previous years, Khabar Agency has called on the Kazakh public to get behind their participant in December and vote in the online voting for the contest. Kazakhstan traditionally scores well with the juries but places in the middle of the online vote.
