Tonight the Netherlands will select its representative for the 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Armenia.
Four acts are competing this evening to represent the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Having kicked off with auditions early this year, selection camps and song workshops, the acts will take to the stage this evening competing to be the 20th act to represent the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision.
The four acts and songs competing in Junior Songfestival 2022 are:
- Infinity (Eva, Kayleigh, Larissa and Lemay) – “Never Ever”
- MixedUp (Joep, Lois, Noor and Sam) – “It Doesn’t Matter”
- Luna – “La festa” (The party)
- High5 (Danny, Kaey, Luuk, Thijs and Thomas) – “Because I Know”
The live final of Junior Songfestival 2022 will place at the RTM Stage in Rotterdam. The show is being hosted by two former Dutch Junior Eurovision representatives Matheu competed in Poland in 2018, while Stefania competed in Malta in 2016 before competing in Eurovision for Greece in 2020 and 2021.
As ever the winner of Junior Songfestival will be formed by 33% public televote, 33% adult jury and 33% children’s jury. On the adult jury are:
- Chantal Janzen – Host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, TV Host, Actress and Singer
- Fleming – Singer and songwriter
- Glen Faria – Singer
On the kid’s jury are:
- Ayana – Represented the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris
- Shine – Placed second in the Junior Songfestival 2021
- Priscilla – Placed fourth in the Junior Songfestival 2021
