Spain: Largest Junior Eurovision Audience Since 2019

RTVE recorded its largest Junior Eurovision audience since it returned to the contest in 2019 last night.

In Spain 1.183 million viewers watched the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 live from Yerevan, Armenia. This is an increase in the viewing audience of 272,000 viewers compared to the audience that watched the 2021 final from Paris.

Overall the competition had a share of 10.1% of the viewing audience, with a share of 15.1% of 13 to 24 year olds. Overall the figures represent the highest viewing figures for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Spain since the country returned to the competition in 2019 and 1.448 million viewers watched the contest.

The viewing figures reported for Junior Eurovision 2022 are:

  • Netherlands – 279,000 viewers – 1.7% share
  • Spain – 1,183,000 viewers – 10.1% share

Carlos Higes represented Spain in Yerevan, Armenia finishing in 6th place with a total of 137 points, Spain finished 2nd in the online vote behind the United Kingdom.
