RTP recorded its largest audience for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2019 last night.
An average of 319,400 viewers watched the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 live from Yerevan, Armenia. The viewing audience increased by 31,000 viewers compared to 2020 and was the largest audience for the contest in Portugal since 2019.
Overall the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 had a share of 3.4/8.8%, which then peaked during the show at 4.6/11.2%. The viewing figures reported for Junior Eurovision 2022 are:
- France – 1,110,000 viewers – 8.9% share
- Germany – 170,000 viewers – 2.1% share
- Italy – 1,523,000 viewers – 11.7% share
- Netherlands – 279,000 viewers – 1.7% share
- Portugal – 319,400 viewers – 3.4/8.8% share
- Spain – 1,183,000 viewers – 10.1% share
Portugal achieved its best-ever placement in Junior Eurovision at the 2022 contest. Nicolas Alves with “Anos 70” finished 8th with a total of 121 points.
