Lithuania: To Debut at Eurovision Choir 2023?

LRT, the Lithuanian national broadcaster, is reported to have confirmed that the broadcaster will be debuting in Eurovision Choir 2023.

The Cultural Broadcasting Department at LRT has confirmed to Eurofestivales that they will be participating in Eurovision Choir 2023. The broadcaster will be making their debut appearance in the competition according to the outlet.

Lithuania has not taken part in one of the EBU’s cultural editions of Eurovision in nearly 30 years. Lithuania made its one and only appearance in Eurovision Young Musicians in 1994 in Lisbon, Portugal, while it has never competed in Eurovision Young Dancers.

Eurofestivales also reports that Latvia will host the 2023 edition of Eurovision Choir, but the date and location of the contest are yet to be officially confirmed. Lithuania is the first nation to have confirmed it will be competing in Eurovision Choir 2023.

Eurovision Choir 2023

Eurovision Choir 2023 will be held in Latvia. Initially, the edition was supposed to take place in 2021, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the contest was canceled.
