KiKa recorded an audience of just under 175,000 viewers for the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
In Germany, a total of 170,000 viewers followed the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on KiKa. Germany was not competing in this year’s contest, which saw viewing audiences fall by 60,000 viewers compared to 2021. Overall the contest had an audience share of 2.1%.
The viewing figures reported for Junior Eurovision 2022 are:
- France – 1,110,000 viewers – 8.9% share
- Germany – 170,000 viewers – 2.1% share
- Italy – 1,523,000 viewers – 11.7% share
- Netherlands – 279,000 viewers – 1.7% share
- Spain – 1,183,000 viewers – 10.1% share
KiKa, the German broadcaster behind its Junior Eurovision participation, has stated on its Q&A page for Junior Eurovision 2022 that its “participation is planned for 2023.” Earlier this year, KiKa confirmed to Eurovoix that they would not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
