The auditions round of The Voice Georgia concluded this week, with a final round of auditions.
The auditions round of The Voice Georgia concluded, with eight singers getting the jurors to hit their buzzers and compete to convince singers to join their team. The singers who progressed from Show Four were as follows:
- Nini Alisiani
- Luka Niavadze
- Koka Davitadze
- Mariam Kokeladze
- Giorgi Putkaradze
- Ani Nozadze
- Anastasia Vashakmadze
- Mariam Toronjadze
The four teams now consist of the following singers:
- Stephane Mgebrishvili – Likuna Tutisani, Aliona Tsintsadze, Saba Chachua, Dato Rusadze, Anka Tatarashvili, Luka Niavadze, Anastasia Vashakmadze, Mariam Toronjadze
- David Evgenidze – Salome Takaishvili, Giorgi Dataishvili, Mariam Bugianishvili, Ekaterine Mdivani, Gvantsa Kupatadze, Sopo Garakanidze, Alegro, Giorgi Putkaradze
- Sopho Toroshelidze – Salome Tsintsadze, Lika Siradze, Tako Kakalashvili, Anri Bolkhadze, Tina Datikashvili, Anika Gabiskiria, Sopho Batilashvili, Mariam Kokeladze
- Dato Porchkhidze – Kakha Aslamazashvili, Tsotne Barbakadze, Erekle Turkadze, Iru Khechanov, Irakli Kapanadze, Nini Alisiani, Koka Davitadze, Ani Nozadze
This is the first time that The Voice Georgia has been used to determine the nation’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. This will be the fifth series of the competition and the second series broadcast by GPB.
Georgia last held a national selection to determine its representative in 2020, when Georgian Idol was used to select their singer for the contest in Rotterdam. It is currently not known how the Georgian song for Eurovision 2023 will be determined.
Circus Mircus represented Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Lock Me In”. They finished 18th and last in the Second Semi-Final scoring a total of 22 points, with 9 points from the televote and 13 points from the jury.
