GPB has opened applications for Ranina 2023, the nation’s selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The Georgian public broadcaster has today opened the applications window for participants in Ranina 2023. Applications are open from December 15 to January 4. In the application post, GPB states that participants will have the chance to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2023.
Mariam Bigvava represented Georgia at the Junior Eurovision 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia with “I Believe”. Georgia finished 3rd scoring a total of 161 points, the nation was 2nd with the jury but 12th with the public.
Junior Eurovision 2023
France won the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia with Lissandro and “Oh Maman!”. He scored a total of 203 points placing ahead of second-placed Armenia.
The Director General of the French public broadcaster has already confirmed that the broadcaster will host in 2023. France will be hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for a second time, having first hosted the contest in 2021 in Paris, France.
So far, the Netherlands has confirmed its participation, while Germany looks likely to return in the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Over the coming months, more countries will confirm their participation over the coming months.
