50 songs have already been submitted to the Croatian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Tomislav Štengl, Head of Delegation for Croatia has revealed to Vecernji List that 50 songs have already been submitted to Dora 2023. The submission window for Dora 2023 is currently open and will remain open until November 20.
In addition, he has confirmed that for the first time that Dora and Eurovision fans will have a say in the Croatian selection. Fans alongside professional music association employees or HRT employees will help to determine the songs that will go on to compete in Dora.
It has already been announced that Dora will feature Semi-Finals for the 2023 edition. Up to 28 songs are set to be selected to compete in the Croatian selection with HRT promoting the contest for five weeks in the run-up to the live contest. The final of Dora 2023 will take place in Opatija in February 2023.
Mia Dimšić represented Croatia at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Guilty Pleasure”. She narrowly missed out on qualification, finishing in 11th in the first semi-final.
