A total of 33 million people tuned in to watch the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 11th December.
The EBU has revealed that the broadcast of the 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest received 33 million views across thirteen measured markets. The average TV audience reached 7.9 million, the contest’s third-largest audience since 2011.
Some more interesting facts:
- 4 in 10 Armenians tuned in to watch the contest at some point during the evening
- 10 out of 13 markets receive a higher audience figure than usual in that time slot
- The following countries exceeded their average number of views by 1 million – Poland, Italy, France and Spain
- A viewing share of 18.5% was delivered among children aged 4 to 14
Online, the show received 500,000 viewers on the official YouTube stream.
Junior Eurovision 2022
The 2022 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan, Armenia on December 11. Sixteen countries took part, with France taking the victory.
