🇸🇪 Sweden: 2.7 Million Viewers for Melodifestivalen Heat Four

2.7 million viewers watched the final heat of Melodifestivalen 2023, which took place this past Saturday.

2.7 million viewers watched the final fourth and final heat of Melodifestivalen 2023, giving the show a viewing share of 74.5%. Overall a drop in 55,000 viewers over 2022 fourth heat was recorded, making 2023 heat four the third lowest watched show since 1994. 86,000 more viewers watched the show on a delay on SVT Play. Despite the drop in viewers, the overall share was up 1.3 points compared to 2022.

The viewing figures for Melodifestivalen 2023 so far are as follows:

  • Heat 1 – 2,795,000 (78.5%)
  • Heat 2 – 2,731,000 (75.2%)
  • Heat 3 – 2,493,000 (72.5%)
  • Heat 4 – 2,704,000 (74.5%)

The fourth and final heat of Melodifestivalen 2023 took place in Malmö, Sweden. Seven artists took to the stage, with two advancing directly to the final, and a further two qualifying for the semi-final, which will be held on March 4th.

The results are as follows:

  1. Kiana – “Where Did You Go” – 3rd place – Semi-Final Qualifier – 69 points
  2. Signe and Hjördis – “Edelweiss” – 6th place – 27 points
  3. Smash Into Pieces – “Six Feet Under” – 2nd place – Direct to final – 79 points
  4. Mariette – “One Day” – 4th place – Semi-Final Qualifier – 56 points
  5. Emil Henrohn – “Mera mera mera” (More more more) – 7th place – 26 points
  6. Axel Schylström – “Gorgeous” – 5th place – 55 points
  7. Loreen – “Tattoo” – 1st place – Direct to Final

Melodifestivalen 2023 will take place across six cities in Sweden. The dates and host cities for the remaining shows are:

  • Semi-Final: March 4 – Örnsköldsvik
  • Final: March 11 – Stockholm
