3.4 million viewers watched the final of Melodifestivalen 2023, which saw Loreen selected to represent Sweden at Eurovision 2023.
3.4 million viewers watched the final of Melodifestivalen 2023, giving the show a viewing share of 82.85%. This represents an increase of 149,000 viewers over the 2022 final, with the viewing share also increasing 6.75%.
Overall the final was the sixth-least watched since data started to be tracked in 1998, but was an improvement in 2021. As with tradition, the final was the most-watched show of this year’s Melodifestivalen, while last week’s semifinal was the least-watched, with over one million fewer viewers than the final.
The viewing figures for Melodifestivalen 2023 so far are as follows:
- Heat 1 – 2,795,000 (78.5%)
- Heat 2 – 2,731,000 (75.2%)
- Heat 3 – 2,493,000 (72.5%)
- Heat 4 – 2,704,000 (74.5%)
- Semifinal – 2,315,000 (72.4%)
- Final – 3,419,000 (82.85%)
The Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2023 took place at Stockholm’s Friends Arena, following 6 weeks of competition. A total of 12 acts competed to represent Sweden in Liverpool in May. The final results were as follows:
